At Toorak,
Charlie and Amanda start bitching over breakfast. Charlie tells Amanda that
her father and
Patricia are coming home, and Amanda is obviously VERY happy. She thanks Charlie
for taking Phillipe
off her hands - she had a great time with Rob. Charlie remarks it can't have
been that good - Rob left
very early. She tells Amanda that, as she is going back to Sydney, she decided
to let Phillipe down
gently. Charlie tells her that daddy won't be very happy that she hasn't found
a job. Amanda asks her
why she has to be such a bitch. Charlie tells Amanda that she got the knives
out first.

Amanda
arrives at The Terrace and Rob introduces her to Beryl. Amanda tells Rob that
she wants a
job there. Her father has cut down on her allowance and she needs to earn
some money. Beryl asks her
if she can cook and she replies yes - terribly, but there must be something
she can do around the place.
She goes to wait in the yard while Rob and Beryl discuss it. Rob tells Beryl
that Amanda would make a
good waitress. Beryl tells him that she doesn't want to get involved with
any of Patricia's family, but
Rob tells her that Amanda can't stand Patricia. They agree to give her a go.
Rob goes outside to give
Amanda the good news and she is delighted.
