Stephen and
Patricia arrive back at Toorak, and Charlie is there to greet them. Stephen
takes the cases
upstairs and tells Charlie he hopes she has been behaving herself. Charlie
asks Patricia what happened to
her head, but Patricia says it was nothing. Charlie tells her she's heard
about her performance at the
cocktail party, and remarks that it must be hard for her. Patricia replies
that it is. Charlie tells her that Rob
and Amanda are getting on pretty well, but Patricia doesn't have a clue what
she's talking about.
Over lunch, Charlie tells Patricia and Stephen that Amanda has got a job at
The Terrace. Patricia thinks
she has done it deliberately, because she knows she can't stand the Palmers.
Charlie asks Patricia why
she has put a bigger plaster on her head. Patricia explains that when Amanda
sees she's a bit under the
weather, she might behave like a normal human being.

At The Terrace,
Amanda tells Phillipe that she is enjoying being a waitress. Kevin and Lynn
come in, not
looking very happy. Kevin explains that he stopped paying for medical cover
five months ago, so they have
no money to pay for Davey's treatment because the accident happened in the
last five months. They are
going to be in debt. Phillipe gets annoyed with Amanda and tells her to take
the orders out to the customers
immediately. Phillipe tells Kevin that Davey might not have any complications.
Kevin replies that, if he does,
he's getting the best treatment available - and that means big bills.
Charlie leaves Toorak in a taxi, and tells Patricia that she's glad they got
their problems sorted out.
After the taxi drives off, Patricia remarks to Stephen that, with his mother
around, Charlie would have
been one mouth too many. Now all they have to cope with are Amanda and Dee.

At The Terrace,
Amanda tells Phillipe that when she looks at Kevin and Lynn's problems, hers
are
nothing. She tells him she got a job there to get on her stepmother's nerves,
which is pretty childish.
She also tells him that she likes everyone there - they are all honest, unlike
her family. She decides
that she should be the one to get the ball rolling at home.
Back at Toorak, Stephen tells his daughter that it's nice to see her being
so reasonable for a change.
Amanda tells Patricia that her head wound looks nasty, and she'd better take
it easy for a few days.
After she goes for a shower, Stephen tells Patricia that the only time he's
seen Amanda like that is
when she's head over heels in love. Patricia remarks that Charlie said something
about her liking Rob
Keegan, but Stephen suspects that it's Phillipe. Patricia says that whoever
it is, if it keeps Amanda happy,
SHE won't be arguing.
