Dee is talking
to Barbara and Gordon in the living room. She tells Barbara that she might
stop her
travelling now and stay in Australia. She tells Gordon that she is pleased
to finally meet him, and asks
him if she might have a chat with Barbara alone. Gordon goes off to his study.
Dee tells Barbara it's time they sorted things out. Barbara tells her that
she told her mother ten years
ago that she wouldn't care if she never saw her again. Dee tells Barbara that
she has a serious heart
condition, and could drop dead at any minute. She adds that she wants to make
up for all the trouble
she's caused. Barbara won't have it, and tells her it's time she left. Dee
tells her that she was always
the stubborn one in the family, and that she always did her best for her.
Barbara shouts that it was
always the best for HER, and tells her to get out of her house. Wayne follows
Dee out of the house
to the car. Dee can't get the door open, and suddenly keels over, clutching
her chest.

At Toorak,
Stephen answers the phone to Barbara, who tells him that Dee has had a heart
attack. Stephen
tells her he'll get the next plane to Sydney. Patricia tells Stephen that
she'll come with him. She tells him
that Dee had the new will with her. Patricia says that she'll get her hands
on it and destroy it.
Later, Stephen and Patricia arrive at the apartment, having visited Dee in
hospital. Patricia tells Stephen
it was nice of Barbara to let slip she'd be back at the hospital the next
morning - it gives her a chance to
go to Dural and get the will, which must still be in Dee's handbag. Stephen
remarks that he feels strange
that his mother is in intensive care, and neither he nor Barbara feel anything
for her.
At Dural, Wayne notices Dee's handbag on the bar. He is just about to look
inside when Gordon and
Barbara arrive back from the hospital. They decide to have a drink and then
go to bed. Wayne leaves
the room. Barbara tells Gordon that she remembers when her previous husband
Roland had a heart
attack in America, and she wasn't there. Now it's ironic that she's with Dee,
who she feels nothing for.
She continues that she watched Dee upset her father for years, carrying on
with other men, until he died.
She tells Gordon that Dee never once told her that she loved her, and now
she can feel no pity for her.
Wayne is hanging around in the hall. He tells Jill that he will be with her
in a minute, and she leaves to
say goodbye to Angela and Paul. Barbara and Gordon go upstairs to bed, and
Wayne hides in the study.
When they've gone, he goes back into the living room and gets the will from
the handbag and starts
reading it. Barbara comes in and catches him. He gives her the will and leaves
smugly.

At the apartment,
Stephen is woken by Gordon and Barbara knocking on the door. Barbara is furious
and
tells Stephen to wake Patricia up - they need an urgent talk. Barbara tells
Stephen that he has been lying
to her for ages about how successful he has become, and it turns out that
Dee is holding all the purse
strings. She adds that it isn't very fair on Gordon either, as a partner in
the company. Gordon decides
there is nothing more to say now - they'll have to wait and see what happens
to Dee. Barbara takes the
will and tells Stephen that if anything does happen to Dee and the will becomes
effective, he'll be getting
no more than he deserves.
The next morning at Dural, Gordon tells Patricia that he has worked hard running
the company - there's
no reason why he couldn't work with Dee if she survived.
At the apartment, Patricia reminds Stephen that at a will reading, the will
HAS to be present. She tells
him that she'll go and visit Charlie. Her patio has a great view of Gordon's
house, and she'll be able to
see when Gordon and Barbara leave for the hospital. Stephen doesn't like the
idea much.
David arrives at The Terrace, and Beryl is thrilled to see him back. He tells
her that he wants to make
up with Kevin. Kevin and Lynn come rushing down the stairs. Lynn tells David
it is good to see him, but
Kevin is very rude. The pair leave.
Patricia is sitting with Charlie outside her house. Charlie is chatting away,
but Patricia is taking no notice,
keeping a close eye on the Hamilton house. When she sees Gordon, Barbara,
Wayne and Jill all leave,
she tells Charlie she's just popping over to see Angela. Patricia enters the
house.
Angela comes in from the flat and finds Patricia there with the will in her
hand. She asks her what he
hell she thinks she is doing.....
