Rob arrives back at The Terrace and tells Kevin and Lynn that he ran into an old mate, Mick Ryan, while
he was up north. Mick has made a packet of money, and now he's coming back south to start his own business.
Rob explains that he's thinking of buying Angela's share of The Terrace, and he can make the money by
moving up north. He tells Kevin that he should tag along. He explains that there are a lot of labouring jobs
going up there, and it would dig Kevin out of a financial hole.
Later, Kevin tells Lynn that he felt like telling Rob where to stick his offer. He explains that he's fed up of
listening to his family's advice, as it got John nowhere. He angrily tells Lynn that he's going to do something
about getting himself ahead, which is more than he can say for the rest of his family.
