Patricia hears a knock on the door, so she gives Dee a pill. She picks up the phone and starts dialling.
Charlie comes down from upstairs to open the door - she has just got out of bed. Beryl is at the door.
She tells Charlie she has come to pick up her shawl that she left behind the other night. Beryl goes into
the living room, and Dee tells her to get the doctor. Patricia tells her that is what she is doing.
Amanda is walking along the street when she sees her father's car sitting there. Then Kevin comes out
of a shop, and tells her that Stephen lets him drive it. He tells Amanda that Lynn has a big modelling
job down in Sydney, and she'll have to stay there tonight. Amanda asks him if he'd like lunch with her
in the park, and Kevin agrees.
At Toorak, the doctor tells Beryl and Patricia that Dee needs complete rest. Patricia tells him that
she'll make up a bed for her downstairs. When Beryl goes in to see Dee, the old woman tells her that
Patricia wasn't going to give her the pills, and she's saved her life. She asks Beryl to stay with her.
Beryl tells her she will phone The Terrace, and see if they can get someone to fill in for her. Out in
the hall, Beryl tells Patricia not to go in and see Dee, as she thinks that she tried to kill her.
Kevin and Amanda are eating sandwiches in the park. Kevin tells her that her new hairstyle looks nice.
When he remarks that Phillipe is going out for the evening, Amanda suggests going round and cooking
dinner for him. He asks her what Lynn would think. Amanda tells him that she doesn't have to know.
Kevin agrees and Amanda smiles.

At Toorak, Stephen asks Patricia if it's true that she refused to give Dee her pills. Patricia tells him that,
for a moment, the thought crossed her mind. She tells Stephen that he would have thought of the same
thing too. Wayne phones and asks if it's okay for him to stay at the house. After consulting Stephen,
Patricia tells him that would be okay.
Beryl and Amanda are in Dee's bedroom with her. Amanda asks her if she wants to cancel her birthday
party, but Dee tells her to let it go ahead as planned. Dee tells Beryl that she wishes she was there all
the time. Then she has an idea. She asks Beryl if she would like to come and work there, looking after
her. She tells Beryl that she trusts her, and will double the salary she is getting at The Terrace. After
a short time, she manages to get Beryl to agree.
Back at the Palmer house, David is amazed. He tells Beryl that all she will be doing is running around for
some old rich biddy. Beryl tells him that the money is too good to knock back. David asks her how she is
going to cope with working in Patricia's house. Beryl replies that it's Patricia's problem.

That evening, Wayne is talking to Dee in her bedroom. Dee asks him how the dummy company will work.
Wayne explains that dummy bills will come through and they'll be paid - it's as simple as that. He tells
her that he is just acting as the figurehead of the company. Dee suggests that he comes up with the bills
so he can copy them and provide her with the evidence she needs. She tells him that they'll keep it going
for a while, to give Stephen and Patricia enough rope to hang themselves. Dee asks Wayne if he's got over
Jill yet. Wayne tells her that he'll never get over her, but if he can't have her he wants lots of money.
At The Terrace, Phillipe is getting ready to go out, and answers the door to Amanda. She tells him that
she is there to cook Kevin dinner. Kevin and Amanda go into the kitchen, and he shows her the stove. She
tells him that he won't be disappointed. A bit later, the pair pour a drink for themselves. Amanda puts
her glass down and takes Kevin's. She goes to kiss him and he pulls away. She tells him that he didn't
just invite her over to cook him a meal. Kevin tells her he feels guilty, but Amanda repeats that he doesn't
have to tell Lynn. She adds that she knows he finds her attractive, and starts to kiss him. Kevin responds,
and they begin kissing passionately.....
