Patricia, Charlie, Wayne and Amanda arrive back
at Toorak. Amanda asks where they are going for
dinner that night. Wayne replies anywhere where they take plastic money. The
two leave.
In Amanda's room, Wayne tells her that putting on an act was a drag. Amanda
explains that she can't
believe how Wayne can turn the charm on and off at a moment's notice. She
goes to leave, but Wayne
stops her and tells her they are supposed to be whispering sweet nothings
to each other. Amanda tells
him she wants to phone Kevin to apologise. Wayne tells her to forget about
Kevin - she only got involved
with him to spite Lynn. Amanda agrees to stay another half an hour, and tells
Wayne that, after that, she
doesn't want to see him until that night.
The next morning, Amanda is having breakfast when
Patricia walks in. Patricia tells her that she got up
because Charlie will come bursting in and wake up Stephen as well. Charlie
comes through the front door
carrying some newspapers. She is thrilled because there is a photo of her
and Dee on the front of one.
Amanda leaves, and Patricia wonders why she didn't have a dig at Charlie.
Charlie explains that she has
other things on her mind - she came home the previous night, and Wayne and
Amanda were wrapped around
each other like boa constrictors. Patricia remarks that Wayne won't last any
longer than Kevin. Charlie tells
her she's always had a soft spot for Wayne, and it would be marvellous if
he married into the Morrell
millions. Patricia looks at her quizzically.
