Fiona asks Patricia what right she has
to tell Terry about her private affairs. Patricia remarks that it is
the truth, and Fiona asks her when she has ever been worried about that. Stephen
asks Fiona to leave -
he just wants some peace. After Fiona leaves, Stephen tells Patricia he wants
to get away to Woombai,
as he's fed up with all the trouble. Patricia protests, but Stephen tells
her they are going.
Later, Patricia looks in Stephen's bag and see that he has only packed casual
clothes. Stephen tells
her that he wants to relax, and that everything depends on their holiday -
even their marriage.
At the Palmer house, Beryl tells Kevin that Lynn is waiting to talk to him.
Kevin thinks she is there to
apologise, but Lynn says she isn't - he's the one who should apologise. She
tells him that, if he's not going
to make an effort, she wants a divorce. She is shocked when Kevin tells her
to go for it, and to come back
when she's ready to apologise to him. He leaves and Lynn starts crying before
rushing out of the house.
The next morning at Woombai, Stephen tells the receptionist to arrange for
breakfast to be delivered
to Patricia in an hour, and to tell her that he'll be fishing down at the
water hole. On his way there, Stephen
comes across Tony, who is having trouble with his car. Stephen tries to help
him, but burns his hand on the
radiator cap. Inside the house, Stephen meets Tony's mother Alice, who tells
her son to get a first aid kit.
In the reception area, Patricia is surprised when she bumps into Matt Kennedy,
who remembers that he
wasn't too complimentary about her the last time they met. Patricia leaves,
telling Matt that her
husband is waiting.
Patricia is waiting at the water hole when Stephen arrives. He tells her he
is late because he had an accident
with Tony's car. Patricia tells him she has some tickets for a trip to the
winery. Stephen tells her that he'd
rather fish all day, and that she should go on her own. They agree to meet
later for dinner
and Patricia leaves. At reception, Patricia tells the receptionist she wants
to cash in one of the
tickets. The receptionist tells her that a gentleman is waiting in hope of
a cancellation - it is Matt.
Patricia and Matt agree to call a truce for one day.
Stephen and Tony are fishing at the water hole. Tony manages to catch a fish,
but Stephen loses his balance
and falls into the water. After he comes out, the pair laugh. Back at the
house, Alice thanks Stephen for
taking Tony along with him. Stephen tells her that he knows about her situation
with her husband - Tony told
him. He tells her he admires her for not going under.
Later, at reception, Stephen phones Malcolm and tells him that he's made a
decision on what they were
discussing the other night - he wants him to get the ball rolling. He adds
that he has just had a great
afternoon, which helped him make up his mind and it's a risk he has to take.
