At Dural, Charlie is gossiping away to Gordon.
Gordon tells her he has to catch the ten o'clock flight to
Melbourne. Charlie asks him the name of Andy's band, but Gordon cannot remember.
When Charlie says
that the best way to stay young is to follow all the hot new bands on the
pop scene, Gordon remembers
that Andy's band is called Hot Wax.
Patricia answers the phone at the apartment and it is Jill. She tells Patricia
that she is in Sydney and
that her and Brian have split up. She adds that she is a bit broke and asks
if she can stay at the apartment
for a few days. Patricia tells her of course she can stay. Jill tells her
she will be over tomorrow, and
Patricia tells her to get there early, as she has things to do.
The next morning, Charlie is bending Patricia's ear. Patricia asks her if
she found out the name of Andy's
band, and Charlie tells her it is Hot Wax. Patricia picks up the newspaper
and tells Charlie that she might
go and see the band play a gig. The doorbell rings, and Patricia tells Charlie
that she'll have to leave.
Charlie leaves and Jill comes in. Jill tells Patricia she is really unhappy,
and the pair hug each other.

At Toorak, Kevin is baiting Wayne. He tells Wayne
that if Amanda has left, he's up the creek without
a paddle. Wayne threatens him, but Kevin laughs that he can't sack him - he's
got connections.
Gordon arrives at the Palmer house, and tells Beryl that Amanda has told him
that she was tricked into
signing something she wasn't aware of. He tells her they'd better get over
to Wayne's house.
At Toorak, Gordon and Beryl confront Wayne. Wayne tells them that Amanda is
not exactly a reliable
source. Gordon asks to see the documents that Beryl signed. He tells Wayne
that Amanda told him that
he slipped the Power Of Attorney sheet in with the other papers after Beryl
had read them. Beryl checks
the papers and tells Gordon that they are the ones she signed. Wayne tells
them they can search the house
if they like - they won't find a Power Of Attorney with Beryl's signature
on it. He mocks Gordon by saying
that jumping to conclusions is the only exercise he gets.

Later, Beryl tells Wayne that she never believed
he was out to trick her. Wayne tells her it's nice to know
someone is on his side. Gordon tells Kevin that, now Amanda has left him,
Wayne will be after a new meal
ticket, and Beryl is a prime candidate. Kevin asks him how he thinks Wayne
did it. Gordon tells him that
one of the copies is probably a forgery - Wayne is always one step ahead.
Kevin tells him that he'll keep
an eye on Wayne. Gordon and Beryl leave, with Gordon giving his son an accusing
stare. Wayne pulls the
Power Of Attorney certificate out of his pocket and picks up the phone. He
calls a bank, and tells them
he'd like to organise a safety deposit box.
At the apartment, Jill tells Patricia that Brian's brother turned up and told
Brian that their father had
been killed. She adds that Brian and his family were members of the IRA, and
that Brian and his brother
returned to Belfast. Jill tells Patricia that Brian will never come back,
and will probably get himself
killed. Later, Patricia tells Jill she has to go out for an appointment she
can't miss. Jill tells Patricia
she'll probably go out to see a movie.
Patricia tracks down the band and meets Andy by his van. Andy tells her he
knows what she is going to
ask him - she is going to ask him to contest the will. He tells her it will
be a waste of time - he has already
made up his mind. Patricia tells him that the futures of a lot of people depend
on his decision. Andy tells
Patricia not to look so dark. He is on her side and is going to contest the
will. Patricia looks delighted.....
