At the apartment, Margaret is looking
at some papers and tells Wayne he's outdone himself. Wayne
tells her that from the medical records, Stephen couldn't possibly be Andy's
father. Margaret tells
him that she also came to Sydney to keep tabs on Patricia, and now she doesn't
know where she is.
She tells Wayne that Helen Green was secretary to Benjamin Morrell, Stephen's
father, and it could
be possible that he is also Andy's father. Wayne tells Margaret they couldn't
be that unlucky. Margaret
tells him there's only one way to find out - he'll have to call on Helen Green.
At Dural, Amanda lets Andy in. They are ready for a tennis match. They go
into the living room to get
some drinks. Barbara comes down the stairs and Gordon out of his study. Gordon
tells Barbara that
Andy is in the living room, and Barbara replies that she might as well get
it over with. They go into the
living room and, as soon as Barbara sees Andy, she looks disturbed. Amanda
tells Barbara she should
come and hear Andy's band. Barbara says she might - she loves a bit of rock
and roll.

Wayne arrives at the Green house. Helen answers
the door, and Wayne tells her he wants to talk to her
about Stephen not being Andy's father. He tells her he has the proof with
him.
Back at Dural, Amanda and Andy go off to play tennis. Gordon tells Barbara
that she usually tries a
bit harder in situations like that. Barbara tells her husband that Andy makes
her feel uneasy and, the
moment she laid eyes on him, something odd came over her.
At the Green house, Wayne asks Helen why she has let Andy think he can contest
the will when she knows
that Stephen isn't his father. He tells her that the truth is going to have
to come out now. Helen says that
Barbara would never get over it if she was told - she loved Roland so much.
Wayne is astounded. He tells
Helen he thought it was Barbara's father, but it being her husband is even
better! Helen explains that
she couldn't face Barbara when she found out she was carrying Roland's child
- that's why she left. She
tells Wayne that it doesn't have to go any further. The fact that Stephen
isn't Andy's father is enough.
Wayne gives her the impression that he won't reveal the truth.
At Dural, Stephen is in the study. Margaret goes in to see him. Stephen tells
her he only took his job to
please Patricia, and now he feels trapped. Margaret tells him he should leave.
Stephen tells her he was
very tempted by Fiona's offer at Woombai, and he should have taken the job.
Margaret goes to leave, and
Stephen tells her it's difficult to believe she's Patricia's sister. He adds
that he wishes there was more
of her in Patricia.

Wayne arrives and tells Gordon that he's got some
news for everybody that might give them all a shock.
A short time later, Wayne is in the living room with Gordon, Barbara and Stephen.
Gordon is examining
the papers and tells Wayne they look authentic. Wayne tells Stephen he can
tell Andy he has no chance of
contesting the will. Gordon tells Wayne he doesn't know why he went to so
much trouble - he still can't
get his money because Amanda isn't interested. Wayne tells him it was worth
it to see the looks on their
faces. He leaves cheerfully. Stephen tells Barbara he is going to pick Andy
up, and then they'll have it
out with Helen. He also leaves. Barbara tells Gordon she's curious to know
who Andy's father really is.
At the Green house, Andy is furious. Helen tells him that his father is dead,
and that's all she wants to
say to him. Andy tells her he wants to know, but his mother goes to her room.
Andy goes to follow her,
but Stephen tells him to hang on and give her a bit of breathing space. He
adds that Helen will have to
tell him the truth eventually. Stephen tells Andy there's no reason why they
can't still be friends.
Andy agrees and Stephen leaves.

At Dural, Gordon, Stephen, Amanda and Margaret
are eating dinner in complete silence and looking very
miserable. Amanda says that, once she's got the dishwasher going, she'll go
upstairs and see how Barbara
is. Gordon tells her he'll check on his wife, and they both leave the room.
Stephen tells Margaret that
Barbara seems more upset about what has happened than him. He adds that he
has been doing a lot of
thinking since they last talked - he is tossing in his job and accepting Fiona's
offer at Woombai. He tells
Margaret that he'll get to do something he's interested in, and he'll get
away from all the hassles of the
last few months.
At the Green house, Andy knocks on his mum's door. She comes out and tells
him she's been packing some
clothes - she's going to stay with 'Eileen' for a few days. Andy again asks
her who his father is. Helen
tells him the affair she had with his father is the only thing she's really
ashamed of. She adds that there's
a good reason for keeping the name of his father secret, and it concerns someone
very dear to her. Andy
isn't happy, and walks out.
At Dural, Barbara is ready to leave but Gordon tries to stop her, telling
her she is not well enough to go
out. Barbara tells him to get out of the way, and leaves. Gordon tells Stephen
that something is worrying
her, but she won't tell him.

In
the living room, the phone rings. Margaret answers it and it is Wayne. Margaret
asks him if he's found
out who Andy's real father is. Wayne remarks that it's like getting first
prize in something. He tells her
that Andy's father was Roland Armstrong, Barbara's ex-husband. He says that
it gives him everything he
needs to get exactly as he wants.
Wayne asks to speak to Amanda. At that moment, Amanda enters the room
and Margaret gives her the phone. Wayne tells her to get over to the apartment
now. Amanda asks him who
the hell he thinks he is. Wayne tells her that, if she cares about her Auntie
Barbara, she'll get over there now.
Amanda arrives at the apartment. Wayne tells her he wants them to continue
living together as husband
and wife. Amanda tells him she knew that all that rubbish about Barbara was
just to get her over there.
She tells him he is wasting his time and goes to leave. Wayne stops her and
asks her how she thinks her
Auntie Barbara would take it if she found out her husband had an affair with
her best friend. He tells
Amanda that Roland Armstrong is Andy's father. Amanda tells him he is disgusting.
Wayne tells her that
he's sure she wouldn't want Barbara to know, that's why she'll come back to
him. He adds that hopefully
they'll have a son, and then they can go their own ways. He asks her what
she says, and she looks shocked.
At the Green house, Helen brings a big travel bag into the hall when there
is a knock at the door. She opens
it to find Barbara standing there. Helen looks shocked and Barbara says "It's
been a long time, Helen....."
