Robin tells Patricia he's never heard anything
so ludicrous. Patricia tells him that she'll ruin things
between Fiona and Terry and people will believe her because Terry has already
assaulted a girl. She
add that it'll also get Stephen back to the city - he won't want to stay in
the same place as the man who
assaulted his wife. Robin warns her there could be a police investigation
and a medical examination.
Patricia tells him she won't let it go that far. Robin isn't keen to get involved,
but Patricia tells him
Margaret might tell his wife where he is. Robin tells her she's blackmailing
him. Patricia says that if
he scratches her back, she'll scratch his. Robin agrees, and Patricia tells
him she knows what she's doing.
Later, Patricia is on the phone to Stephen. She tells him she's decided to
patch things up with Margaret.
Patricia says that the Hamiltons must have quite a few people staying there
connected with the trial.
Stephen tells her that Terry is staying at the Dural Motor Inn. Patricia says
that Robin is going to Woombai
soon and she'll go with him. Stephen says he's pleased. Patricia tells him
she loves him and hangs up. Then
she writes 'Dural Motor Inn' on a pad on the bar.

At Woombai, Fiona is talking to Gordon on the phone.
He asks to speak to Stephen, so Fiona hands him the
phone. A short time later, Gordon has told Stephen about his daughter's pregnancy.
Stephen tells him that
Amanda and Wayne are a couple of little money-grabbers. He thanks Gordon for
letting him know and
hangs up. Fiona has guessed that Amanda is pregnant to Wayne. Jill asks Stephen
if he is going to phone
her. He tells her he will when he's calmed down - which might take some time.
At Dural, Margaret is just leaving the house when Patricia calls. Gordon calls
Margaret back and gives her
the phone. Patricia tells her that Robin explained everything, and asks her
to come over so they can talk.
Margaret tells her she'll come over straight away and asks where she is. Patricia
tells her she's staying at
the apartment for a while with Robin. Margaret can't believe it after what
Robin has done, but Patricia
tells her she needs the job. Margaret tells her she'll be there about eleven.
They hang up. Then Patricia
calls Terry at the Motor Inn and tells him she needs to see him. Terry asks
what for, and Patricia tells
him she'll explain when he gets there. She asks him to get there at eleven
thirty, and not to mention it to
anyone else.
At Woombai, Jill asks Stephen if he's still angry with Amanda. Stephen tells
her he's not pleased. He adds
that it's a bit of a jolt to realise he's old enough to have a grandchild,
and he's hurt that Amanda didn't
tell him about it. Jill tells him that maybe Amanda's written, and is sure
she'd want him to know about it.
Stephen smiles and tells Jill she always has a good word for everyone - even
Patricia. He adds that she's
one of the few people who have never said a word against her. Jill tells him
she takes people as she finds
them, and Patricia has always been good to her.

At the apartment, Margaret knocks on the door.
Inside, Robin tells Patricia to make sure she says the right
things about him. Patricia opens the door and Robin leaves. Patricia invites
Margaret in and she sits down.
They both say sorry to each other. Patricia remarks that it's so silly - they're
all the family they've got.
Margaret tells her she doesn't want to see her working for a man like Robin,
and offers to help her out
financially until she gets another job. Patricia declines the offer, saying
she doesn't want money getting
in the way of their friendship. Patricia sits down and tells Margaret she's
gone to a lot of trouble to make
things right between them. Margaret replies that, when she faced the fact
that she couldn't let her die,
she realised she did mean something to her. She adds that they used to be
so close. The pair hug.
Later, Margaret decides she should leave. Patricia doesn't want her to, and
tries to delay her. Then there
is a knock at the door. Patricia opens it and it is Terry. Patricia asks him
what he is doing there and motions
for him to pretend. Terry tells her he thought he'd drop in and say hello.
A while later, Patricia shows Margaret out. Margaret asks her if she knows
why Terry is there. Patricia tells
her that he made advances to her at Woombai. She adds that he frightens her
a bit, but she'll have to make
it plain she's not interested. Margaret offers to stay a while, but Patricia
tells her she'll be okay. Margaret
gives her a kiss and leaves. Patricia goes back inside, where Terry asks her
what's going on. Patricia tells
him she had to see him again - she's been thinking about him ever since she
left Woombai. Terry can't
believe it. Patricia continues that she had to see him - he must know why.....
