Amanda tells Robin that nothing's making sense.
Robin tells her if she can wait for one more week, she
can get Dee's money and then tell the world she's lost the baby. He adds that
he can fix the doctor's
certificate. Amanda tells him she doesn't care about the money - all that
mattered was their baby. Robin
tells her she must think of the future. Amanda gets annoyed and tells him
it's none of his business anyway.
Later, Amanda is smartening herself up in front of the mirror when Wayne and
Gordon come in. Gordon
and Amanda sit down and Wayne gets Gordon a drink. Amanda tells Wayne that
maybe Woombai is a bit
out of their price range. Wayne tells her not once they get the next instalment
from Dee's estate. Amanda
looks awkward and Wayne asks her if she's feeling all right. Gordon remarks
that he can't believe Wayne
is getting clucky. Wayne tells him he's feeling good about the idea of becoming
a family man, even more
now he knows their kid is going to have an interest in the best riding school
in the state. Amanda looks guilty.

Later, Wayne shows Gordon to the door. Gordon tells
him he'll be in touch as soon as he gets some news
from Fiona. They shake hands and Gordon leaves. Wayne is happy and tells Amanda
that the kid has made
Gordon see him in a completely different light. Amanda goes to say something,
but Wayne interrupts her.
He continues that he understands how Gordon must have felt when he wrote those
letters to his mum.
Robin comes in, and Amanda tells Wayne she's going to have a lie down. She
looks upset as she leaves the
room. Wayne asks Robin if Amanda would tell him if she was feeling crook.
Robin tells him of course she
would - pregnant women need their rest.
A while later, Amanda is sitting on the sofa. Wayne gets on the phone to Beryl
Palmer. Robin sits down next
to Amanda and asks her if she's told Wayne yet. Amanda asks him what he thinks.
Robin tells her she's
decided to play it his way instead. Amanda says no - she's waiting for the
right moment to tell him. Robin
tells her he's only trying to help. Amanda snaps that she doesn't need his
help. Robin tells her to remember
that he tried to stop her wasting a brilliant opportunity, and walks off.
Amanda looks thoughtful.

Barbara is at the apartment and has bought her
niece a maternity dress. Amanda offers her coffee, but
Barbara declines and says that Gordon will kill her if she's late at court.
Amanda tells her she's afraid
that Wayne's going to waltz in there early. Barbara tells her the last thing
she needs now is another big
scene. Amanda tells her that Wayne is really trying for a fresh start. Barbara
replies that he has got a
chance to convince the Doubting Thomases if he looks after her over the next
few months, and proves
himself as a husband and father. Amanda tells Barbara she'll make sure Wayne
has every chance to prove
himself.
Later, Amanda is flicking through a magazine when Robin arrives. Amanda tells
him she wants him to tell
her his idea - every detail from convincing people that she's still pregnant
to making sure that no one can
prove that her and Wayne aren't entitled to the money. She explains that it's
really going to upset Wayne
when she tells him she's lost the baby, so the least she can do is make sure
he gets his share of Woombai.
Robin tells her to grab a seat, and he'll tell her exactly what she has to
do.
A while later, Wayne and Amanda are leaving for Woombai. Wayne takes the cases
and tells Amanda he'll
meet her out the front. After he leaves, Amanda tells Robin there's one thing
that puzzles her. She asks him
what difference it makes to him whether Wayne and her do all right out of
Dee's will. Robin tells her he's
learnt over the years it's handy to have the odd friend who owes him a favour.
