Barbara has seen the fake photo of Gordon and is
sitting in the living room clutching it. She tells Stephen
she never thought Gordon would get involved with anyone like that. Stephen
tells her that Gordon's human.
Barbara is furious and tells him that her husband cheated on her. Stephen
says that Gordon was obviously
set up and asks her what she's going to do about it. Barbara starts sobbing
and says that Gordon better
have a damn good story.
Later, Gordon phones from Toorak and Stephen answers. Barbara doesn't want
to talk to her husband
and Gordon tells Stephen to tell her the photos are fake, and he'll be there
first thing tomorrow. Once
off the phone, Stephen tells Barbara the photos are fakes and Fiona says she
knew they must be. Fiona
tells Barbara she should have talked to Gordon. Barbara says she couldn't,
and rushes off.
At Toorak, Patricia comes down the stairs and an angry Gordon is waiting for
her. Gordon tells her she's
not getting away with it. Patricia says she already has. She explains that
copies of the photo have been
sent to all his other friends and business associates. Gordon tells her she
is insane and sick. He adds
that he won't rest until he gets Wayne and Amanda out from under her thumb.
At Woombai, Barbara and Fiona are laying the dinner table. Barbara tells Fiona
she's already been made
a fool of by one husband - what's to say it isn't happening again? Fiona tells
her that Gordon loves her
and Barbara gets angry, telling her to shut up about it. Barbara goes into
the kitchen. Fiona asks Stephen
if he's still got the photo. Stephen asks why. Fiona says she's going into
town and has an idea that
might help.

Amanda and Wayne are enjoying themselves in a city.
They ride on a pedaloe, feed the birds, muck about
by a fountain, listen to a couple of flautists and ride an outside lift. They
stop by a fountain and Wayne
asks his wife if she's happy. Amanda says it's a wonderful city. They hug
and kiss, and Amanda tells
Wayne she wishes they could let her dad know they were all right.
Gordon arrives at Woombai and protests his innocence to Stephen. Stephen tells
him he doesn't have to
make excuses with him. Gordon says he isn't. Stephen says he's surprised and
Gordon asks what he has
to say to convince him. Stephen tells him Barbara's very upset. Barbara comes
in as Gordon says that
everyone's acting like he's guilty and he hasn't done a damn thing. He turns
round and sees Barbara
standing there. He tells her the photos are fake, and that's the truth. He
asks her if she thinks he could
look her straight in the eye if that wasn't the case? Barbara says she believes
him. Gordon hugs her and
thanks her.
Later,
Fiona tells them that she showed the photograph to a photographer who confirmed
that, although
it was done by an expert, the photograph is a fake. Gordon thanks her. Stephen
apologises to Gordon
for not believing him. Gordon tells Barbara that the damage would have been
done by now. Barbara says
as long as his friends believe him, it doesn't matter. Gordon tells the others
he thinks Patricia is mentally
unbalanced. Stephen tells him he's exaggerating. Gordon tells him that Patricia
needs help before it's too late.

Later, the phone rings and Gordon answers it. Amanda
is on the other end. She is with Wayne in a phone
box. Gordon asks her where she is. Amanda tells him she just called to let
him know they're okay and very
happy. She asks if he can tell Stephen and he says yes. Gordon asks her when
they're coming home. She
says the money is running out and she has to go. Before Gordon can say anything
else, Amanda puts the
phone down. Wayne tells her she still had a couple of minutes left. Amanda
says she could feel that
Gordon was going to try and talk them into going home. Wayne kisses her on
the cheek. At Woombai,
Barbara asks Gordon if he got a clue. Gordon says all he heard was STD, and
that tells them nothing.
Barbara tells him they'll have to wait until they contact them again. Gordon
tells her he's found a way
to help them, by doing what he should have done in the first place - take
the straight, honest approach.
At the hospital, David tells Patricia they still won't let him see Margaret,
as only family are allowed.
He says he thought it would be okay by now. Patricia tells him not to get
upset about it, and that she's
sure everything that needs to be done is being taken care of.
At Woombai, Stephen tells Gordon they'd better get over to the Reid house
- the sooner they let Robin
Elliott say his piece, the sooner he can leave. Fiona remarks the sooner the
better, as Jill still thinks the
sun shines out of him. Stephen tells Gordon he'll see him over there and leaves.
Fiona goes into the
kitchen. Barbara asks Gordon if he thinks he should have said something to
Stephen about what they're
going to do. Gordon tells her it might upset him more at the moment.
