Patricia is eating breakfast and looking at the
newspaper at Margaret's flat. David asks her if there's
anything happening in the world and she says not much. Patricia snaps a bit
and apologises. She tells
David she's nervous about having lunch with Heather - after all the years
they'll probably have nothing
in common. David tells her the O'Briens are top people and she should stop
worrying. He asks her if she's
chickening out. Patricia tells him he's right - she can't put things off forever.
David tells her it's about
time she started showing a bit of the old spark.
Later, Patricia arrives at the O'Brien house and is let in by Katie. Mike
and Jim are in the kitchen, and
Mike tells his brother they'd better go and say hello. Jim tells him he's
on his own - lunch parties aren't
his scene. Mike grabs his arm. In the living room, Katie tells Patricia that
Heather isn't home yet - she's
late. Mike and Jim see Patricia and are impressed. Jim tells Mike to cancel
his last statement!
Later, Jim is laying on the charm and making Patricia laugh. Patricia tells
them she hasn't had a better
lunch in ages. Jim tells her he reckons it's the company. Patricia looks at
him and smiles.
