Patricia sits down in the flat, looking bored.
She tells David she should have gone out with Jim that night
instead of putting it off until tomorrow. David tells her he thought she said
he was a bit rough for her
liking. Patricia says that he cheers her up. David laughs. Patricia shouts
that he makes her laugh, that's
it. David tells her he's only ribbing her, and he's glad Jim has taken a shine
to her and forgotten about
Beryl. Patricia decides to have an early night and leaves for the bedroom.
The phone rings and David
answers it. On the other end, Jim asks for Patricia and she comes from the
bedroom and takes the call.
Jim tells Patricia he'll have to cancel their date tomorrow - he forgot his
promise to partner Beryl to
a business dinner and didn't feel he could put her off. He says he can make
it up to her, and offers to
take her to a great restaurant he's heard about. Patricia tells him to phone
her later in the week to see
how she feels. Patricia hangs up and tells David she won't be going out with
Jim tomorrow night - he's
got a date with his wife. David doesn't look happy.
The next morning over breakfast, Patricia tells David she can't understand
why he's so touchy - she's the
one who was stood up. She says it doesn't matter who Beryl goes out with -
Margaret's the one he should
be thinking about now. David is surprised when Patricia mentions he's given
Margaret an engagement
ring - they agreed not to say anything about it. Patricia says she's her sister
- Margaret has to have someone
else to talk to apart from him. David stands up and tells Patricia not to
stick her nose in any of his business
- if he wants to stop Beryl from seeing a younger bloke, he will. He walks
away.

Barbara arrives at Dural with Lynn and Davey. Gordon
comes out of his study and greets them. He tells
Barbara he thought they'd be halfway to Woombai by now. Lynn says her plane
was late, she got held up
in Singapore and it took her ages to get through customs. Barbara says they
were then followed by some
of Andy's lunatic friends. She explains they were on their way to Woombai
and noticed a van - they
couldn't shake it so they came to Dural, rather than lead them to Andy. Gordon
tells Barbara he'll call the
police, but she says that's not necessary. Barbara says she's already thought
of a way to get rid of them
- she'll take them for a game of golf!
Later, Gordon and Lynn are sitting in the living room. Lynn says it's almost
time to go and meet Barbara.
Gordon says they'll give it a few more minutes. Lynn asks if John explained
about Andy and her. Gordon
says yes but he doesn't tend to pry. Lynn says she told Kevin that, although
she was attracted to Andy, it
was him she wanted to spend the rest of her life with. Gordon asks if he accepted
it and Lynn nods. She
says that he learnt a lot when they separated over Phillipe. Gordon asks if
she's thought about how she's
going to feel when she sees Andy again. Lynn tells him it'll be fine - it's
all over between them. Gordon
tells her it's not too late to back out. Lynn says she wants to help Andy
because she's his friend. She says
it's time to go, so the pair get up and go to get Davey.

On the golf course, Barbara gets off a buggy and
greets Gordon and Lynn. She asks them if they think
she'd make a good James Bond. She explains that when the group tried to follow
her into the club house
they were politely but firmly told it was for members only, so they're sitting
in the car park waiting for her
to finish her game before heading to Woombai. Gordon tells her they made sure
they weren't followed -
they left the car out in the main road. Barbara says they'd better go - they've
a long drive ahead of them.
Later, Barbara, Gordon and Lynn arrive at Woombai and are let in by Stephen.
Barbara takes Davey into
the bedroom. Lynn says she'd like to see Andy. Stephen tells her she will
in the morning - it's a bit late now.
Lynn says she wants to see him for a few minutes. Stephen says he'll come
with her. Lynn says she'd rather
see him by herself, but Stephen says no way. He asks her if she's heard what
happened to Amanda, and
Lynn says she's sure he won't attack her. Gordon says that's what Amanda thought.
Stephen and Lynn go into the room, where Andy is lying on his mattress on
the floor. Stephen turns the
light on. Andy opens his eyes and sits up. Lynn says "Hello, Andy."
Andy looks shocked.....
