Matt wants the truth. What did she say?Tickle time!

Patricia tells Matt he hasn't got any competition - it's just her rambling on. She gets up and starts
chattering on about her record collection. Matt gets up and tells her to remember he's the professional
listener, and he's heard every evasive tactic there is. He asks her what choice? Patricia tells him she
still loves Stephen - they talked when he came down for Margaret's funeral and it was very promising.
Matt asks her if he's got any chance. Patricia says of course he has - she told him before that if she
ever fell in love again, she hoped it would be with someone like him. She tells him he's been such a good
friend, she thinks she could love him. Matt asks if that's it - Stephen's his only competitor? Patricia
says of course - who else could there be?
Later, David comes in and Patricia is asleep on Matt's lap. David apologises, and says he'll see him in
the morning. He asks Matt what Patricia said. Matt says she's thinking about it. David tells Matt he hopes
for her sake she says yes. Matt asks him if Patricia's said anything about going back to the home. David
says no, and asks why. Matt says it was something she said. He asks how she's been with all the old
enemies, and David says fine. Matt says maybe he's trying to make up excuses to save his own ego if she
turns him down. David tells him she'd be nuts if she did, and goes off to bed.
The next day at Toorak, Wayne is tickling Amanda. She tells him he's been putting on weight, so he
tickles her again and asks her to tell him he's the same beautiful hunk she married. Amanda gives in,
and tells him. There is a knock at the door. Amanda says she hopes whoever that is didn't hear them,
or they'd have them committed. As she opens the door she tells Wayne she didn't mean it - he's getting
fat! Amanda opens the door, and Patricia and David are there, David carrying a box.

Coffee?Beryl gloats.Patricia feigns innocence.I'm coming over.
David says he's sorry to walk in on all the fun. Wayne says he's saved Amanda from being tickled to
death. He asks Patricia if she's ready for business and she says yes. He tells her to go into the living
room - he'll be there in a minute. Amanda goes to make David and Patricia coffee. David says she's a nice
girl, and it's good to see those two happy. Patricia agrees, and says she thought they were going through
a rough patch.
Later in the living room, Beryl signs some papers and Wayne hands them to Patricia. She asks what she's
signing. Wayne tells her it's all the paperwork involved in deleting Margaret's name as a member of the
Board Of Directors, and appointing her in her place. Patricia starts eyeing the papers, and Wayne tells her
it's all perfectly routine. Patricia says she bets that's what he told Beryl when he got her to sign a false
Power Of Attorney. Wayne complains that happened months ago. Patricia tells him he can't have changed
that much. Wayne goes to get the other papers. Patricia tells Beryl she doesn't know why he's sounding
so wounded - he's the original con man. Beryl tells her she gives him a pretty good run for his money.
Patricia asks if that's supposed to mean something specific, or is it just a crack for Auld Lang Syne?
Beryl tells her that Jim and her are very happy, and thanks her for pushing them in the right direction.
Patricia tells her she doesn't know what she's talking about. Beryl says she's SURE she doesn't. She
tells Patricia to read the papers - she wouldn't want her missing anything on her account! Patricia doesn't
look too pleased.

We won't forget her.Matt's disappointed.Patricia plays it cool.........then breaks down.
At the flat, Patricia is on the phone to Jill. She tells Jill she was lucky to catch her - David and her are
just getting the last load. She asks how everything is. Jill says it's fine, and she's moving back that
afternoon - she's staying at Beryl's. Patricia asks how things are between Fiona and Terry. Jill says she's
sure everything will turn out okay. She says she has to go, but is thinking of dropping by that evening.
Patricia says that's okay, and she never thought Fiona would be so understanding. They hang up and David
comes in. He asks if she's made up her mind about Matt yet. Patricia says no - no yet. She says she's done
everything but pack Margaret's clothes. David says he can't wait around too long - he's got a Sydney -
Brisbane trip that afternoon. Patricia tells him to go ahead, as she'd rather do it on her own. David makes
his way out and tells Patricia they're not going to forget Margaret. Patricia says no, they're not. She has
a cold look on her face.
Later, Patricia is putting Margaret's clothes in a suitcase when Matt arrives. He sees the suitcase and
says she's a typical woman - more clothes than she knows what to do with. Patricia tells him they're
Margaret's and he apologises. Patricia tells him she can't come with him. Matt asks why. Patricia says
she could be very happy with him, but she has to do it for her. Matt says "I'm sorry?" Patricia looks
at him and says it's just because of Stephen. Matt asks if it'd make any difference if he hung around
and kept asking. Patricia says no. Matt tells her he loves her more than he's ever loved anyone, and
he'll be in London if she changes her mind - he'll send her the address. He asks what happened - last
night he thought he had a chance. Patricia says this and that. She kisses him and says goodbye. Matt
leaves, and Patricia sits down and starts crying her eyes out.....
