Patricia
and Jim arrive at the football match and sit next to Mike. Patricia looks
a bit unsure whether she
should be there or not. She isn't impressed by the selection of food either!
Jim tells her he's going to get
a couple of hot dogs and goes. Patricia asks Mike who's winning, and he tells
her no one yet.
A bit later, Jim returns with the hot dogs. The Lions score a great goal from
sixty metres and Mike goes
mad. Patricia looks decidedly unimpressed! Jim tells her she's supposed to
be happy - they've just scored
a goal. She asks how much that's worth, and Jim tells her she's got to be
joking! Patricia says that Wayne
used to play football, but he used to run around with it. Jim tells her that's
RUGBY. Patricia asks what the
difference is, and Jim tells her that Australian Rules might not be the Sport
of Kings, but it's the King of
Sports! Jim tells her she has to eat her hot dog, and puts his scarf and hat
on her. She looks very fetching!

A
free kick is given against The Lions and Mike has a go at the umpire. Jim
tells Patricia the blokes in the
white shirts are umpires, and now is her chance to rubbish the umpire and
abuse him. Patricia stands up and
starts booing. Jim tells her not bad, but maybe a bit louder. She shouts out
"Come on the mighty Blues!"
Jim tells her that's the wrong team, so Patricia sits down and covers her
face in shame!
Later, Patricia and Jim arrive back at the Toorak house. Jim can't believe
they won, and Patricia says she
must have made all the difference. Jim tells her the umpire didn't step out
of line once, and Patricia tells
him it needed a woman's touch. Jim says he'll have to come round tomorrow
and teach her how to kick a
football. Patricia says she's watching it, not PLAYING it! Jim arranges to
come round tomorrow after
lunch. Patricia thanks him for taking her to her first footie match, and gives
him his hat and scarf back.
Jim leaves and Patricia grins.
