I know you love me!Wayne has a suggestion.It won't work!An invite from Barbara.

In the Sydney apartment, Amanda is relaxing on the couch reading a magazine, with strange music playing
in the background. There is a knock on the door. She opens it and Wayne is there. He asks if he can come
in, and she says it depends what he's there for. Wayne says not a fight. She lets him in, and he asks her
what the dreadful music is. She says it suited her mood, and turns it off. Wayne tells her he loves her.
Amanda says she knows he does - why else would he act so crazy and get so jealous? Amanda tells him she
loves him too but she's had enough - one minute being on a high, the next going at each other hammer and
tongs. Wayne tells her they were most happy when they were away from everyone in Adelaide for a few
days. He suggests they go back there, and start again as if no one else existed. He tells her they could make
it work. Amanda says maybe, if they ignored everyone else, but that's not much of a life. She tells him that,
no matter where they went, another Andy would turn up - someone else he'd start getting jealous of. She
says they could run away, but he'd still be taking his old self with him. Wayne tells her he's trying so save
their marriage. Amanda says that running away won't get them anywhere, and if there is an answer that's
not it. Then Andy comes in with some food and Wayne gets nasty. He says he doesn't know why he bothers -
he doesn't want to interrupt their cosy dinner for two. Amanda shouts at him to grow up - there's nothing
going on between her and Andy. Wayne says he really believes that, with HER track record. He leaves and
Andy says he didn't mean to walk in at the wrong time. Amanda looks upset and tells him it isn't his fault.

Amanda accepts.Wayne's sulking.What's going on?Wayne lets rip.

The next day, Amanda is on the phone to Barbara. She asks her auntie if she's sure it will be okay. Barbara
says it will be fine - she's really missed them both since they left. Amanda tells her she doesn't have to
prove anything to them - they know she's not taking sides. Barbara says she's missed her, and asks if she'll
come. Amanda says they'd love to. Barbara jokes that, after the last few days of Wayne's charming
company, they'll be like a breath of fresh air.
Later, Andy is swimming in the pool at Dural. Amanda tells Barbara that, if it wasn't for her cast, she'd be
in there too. Irene comes out and tells Barbara that her and Fiona are looking at some designs for the
renovation of the boarding house, and Barbara goes in with her. Amanda tells Andy it's lunchtime, and he
starts splashing her with water.
Gordon and Wayne come in the front door. Gordon tells his son to be sensible - what if it IS Andy's van out
there? Wayne complains about Barbara sneaking them in while he's out. Gordon says Barbara's only being
practical and is fond of both of them. He tells Wayne to go into the study and calm down - he's got nothing
to worry about. Wayne sarcastically says yes, with lover boy trying to bust up his marriage. Gordon tells
him he's got no proof of that, and they go into the study. Amanda and Andy run into the hall laughing, with
Amanda saying she can't get her arm wet. Andy tells her that's just an excuse, and starts shaking water
from his head over her. Gordon and Wayne appear at the study door, with Wayne asking his father if he
thinks he's got nothing to worry about?

Barbara is told.Oh dear!Andy does his nut.Gordon's in pain.
Soon, Barbara has joined them in the hall. Gordon tells her he knows what he saw. Barbara tells him he's
starting to sound as paranoid as Wayne - they were just larking around. Gordon tells Amanda he can see
why Wayne's concerned - she hardly looks like somebody who gives two hoots about a marriage. Andy tells
him that isn't fair, and Wayne tells him to butt out. He asks Barbara if she trusts Andy as much with
Amanda as she did with Lynn. Barbara says nothing happened with Lynn and he knows it. Wayne tells her
he knows Andy promised her nothing had happened. He tells Andy to tell Barbara about spending the night
with Lynn the same day he made that promise. Andy says nothing. Amanda protests, but Wayne tells her he
only kept it a secret because she asked him to, but now he doesn't owe her a thing. Wayne tells Barbara to
ask Amanda - she knows about it too. Amanda says that Andy was in Lynn's room, but nothing happened.
Andy tells Barbara that nothing happened - they just held hands. Wayne says the religious mob only
brought out what's really inside him, and if they thought he was a mongrel up at Woombai, that's the
REAL Andy Green. Gordon says they can't give Andy the benefit of the doubt. Andy shouts that he's not
going to believe that creep over him, is he? Gordon shouts that this is his home, and that is his son, and he
should collect his things and go. Barbara asks Andy if he went to Lynn's room. Andy says yes, but.....
Barbara says there are no buts - he broke his promise to her, and should go. Andy shouts "You're not
going to damn well let him get to you, are you?" Gordon shouts at him not to talk to his wife like that
- he was asked to go, so he should leave. Suddenly he grabs his chest and gasps. Barbara asks him what's
wrong, but Gordon is in terrible pain.....
