Jim hears the news.I'm terrified!I'm calling the police!Jim talks her out of it.
At the O'Brien house, Jim answers the phone. Patricia is on the other end. She tells him she's had another
note and keeps getting strange phone calls, and it's really getting to her. Jim asks her when she got the
last call, and Patricia tells him just now. He asks her who she thinks is doing it and she tells him someone
who's working for Fiona Thompson. Jim suggests her son, but Patricia tells him he's in Sydney. Jim tells
her he's not - he's down there. He tells Patricia to hang on - he'll be over soon after paying someone a visit.
Later, Jim is at Toorak. Patricia tells him of course it was Terry. Jim says that Terry seemed like a decent
sort, and so did Fiona. Patricia goes to call the police but Jim stops her, saying he promised Fiona and
Terry he wouldn't let her cause any trouble for them. He tells her to calm down. Patricia asks him who the
hell he thinks he is. Jim replies that, if she wants him to stick around, she'd better stop flying off the
handle. He adds that if she calls the cops, he'll walk out and won't come back. Jim says she won't let
anyone hurt her, and says it'll be all right.

On the drink.Mr. Nasty speaking.I told you!You can't see her!
A short time later, Jill has joined the pair in the living room and Patricia is having a large drink. Jim says
he has to get back to work, and suggests Patricia goes and has a lie down and tries to relax. Patricia asks
how is she expected to relax when she doesn't know what's going to happen to her next? She decides to
lie down and Jim tells her to make up the spare bed so he can stay the night. Patricia goes, saying if she
needs anything she'll scream.
At Dural, Wayne is talking to Amanda on the phone. She asks how Gordon is, and Wayne says he's home
and he'll be okay if he gets plenty of rest and no worries. Amanda asks Wayne to give Gordon her love.
Wayne says "For what it's worth." Amanda says goodbye and hangs up. At the apartment, Andy tells
Amanda he told her she'd only get upset if Wayne answered. He asks her if she's ready to go. Amanda
asks him if they're doing the right thing. Andy says of course - they've got to convince Lynn there's
nothing between them. Amanda says she hopes Lynn will listen.
Later, Amanda and Andy are at the boarding house. Irene tells them they can't see Lynn. She explains
that Fiona's just arrived with Davey and it's brightened Lynn up a lot, but seeing them could put her
back to square one.
Andy asks if Lynn is being looked after all right and if she's seen a doctor. Irene
says she HAS seen a doctor. Irene tells them that, when she thinks the time is right, she'll let Lynn know
they both want to see her - and if she agrees, it's all systems go. Andy tells Irene to look after her. Irene
tells him not to worry - she's in good hands.

Lynn's in good hands.Pretend?Wayne has a plan.
Amanda and Andy arrive back at the apartment to find Wayne sitting on the couch. He tells Amanda he
wants to talk about a reconciliation. Andy tells him if he thinks Amanda would come back to him, he's off
his nut. Wayne tells him it's nothing to do with him and tells him to shove off and let him talk to Amanda.
Amanda says she can't see any point. Wayne tells her if she gives two hoots about Gordon she'll hear him
out. Andy tells Amanda that Wayne's just trying to get at her, but she wants to talk. Wayne says that
Gordon mustn't have any worries, and it'd put his mind at rest to see them getting back together again.
Amanda asks him if he means they should pretend. Wayne tells her there's no chance of it being the real
thing, is there? Amanda says no - none at all. Wayne tells her once Gordon is okay, he'll be out of her
life for good. Amanda asks what he wants her to do. Wayne tells her to come over to the house from time
to time, let Gordon see them together and make it look as though they're working things out. Andy says it's
stupid, as Gordon will eventually find out. Wayne tells him to keep out of it. He tells Amanda that, once
Gordon's recovered, they can tell him the truth. Andy tells Amanda that she owes Wayne nothing. Wayne
tells him it's none of his business. Andy tells him he's making it his business to protect Amanda from him.
Amanda tells Andy she'd be doing it for Gordon, as he and Barbara have been very good to her. Wayne
tells her he'll ring and arrange a time for her to come over. He leaves and Andy tells Amanda she's out of
her mind. Amanda tells him she has to do it, and it could be the chance for her to open Barbara's eyes
to what Wayne's really been doing.

I'll open Barbara's eyes!Oh no - another note!Is she going loopy?
That evening at Toorak, Patricia apologises to Jim for being a bit troublesome earlier. She tells Jill to get
Jim a drink while she lays the table for dinner. Patricia goes out. Jim tells Jill that Patricia seems a lot
better, and he thinks they were jumping to conclusions about her making up stories about notes and phone
calls. Patricia is in the dining room when she notices a note standing against one of the candlesticks. It
reads "I TOLD YOU I'D BE HERE TONIGHT". Patricia runs into the living room and tells Jim that he
must have got into the house - there's another note on the dining room table. The three go back into the
dining room, but the note has vanished. Jim and Jill look at Patricia who says the note was there before.....
