Someone has a key.Terry is amused.Katie vouches for Terry.Patricia accuses.
A short time later, Patricia is sitting on the couch with Jill. Jill tells her to calm down - if there's anyone
there, Jim will find them. Patricia says of course there is - they left a note. Jim comes in and says there's
no sign of anyone. Patricia says that someone has a key, and it has to be Terry Hansen. Jim tells her she has
no proof, but Patricia says she does as Terry stayed there for a while, so must have a key. Patricia goes to
call the police, but Jim suggests they go over to the Palmers and put it to Terry. Patricia is about to storm
out when Jim tells her that HE'LL do the talking. Patricia agrees and they leave.
At the Palmer house, Terry tells the pair he doesn't know what they're talking about and has had enough of
being hassled for one day. Patricia barges into the house and tells Terry they're going to talk, whether he
likes it or not. They go into the living room. Patricia tells Terry he has a key to her house, and left a note
on the dining room table no more than an hour ago. She asks him to try denying that. A female voice says
"I'll do it for him." Patricia turns round and Katie O'Brien is standing there. She tells Patricia she's been
there with Terry for more than two hours. Jim apologises to Terry. Patricia tells him he still has a key. Terry
tells her she's wrong - he borrowed Fiona's when he stayed at the house. Patricia says that Fiona's behind
all of it. Terry says she can't be in two places at once - she went up to Sydney that afternoon and took
Davey up to Lynn. Patricia says it must be Beryl. Terry tells her she's not scoring very well - Beryl is with
Mrs. Ryan at the kid's home. Patricia says he'll never convince her the three of them aren't behind it,
and she'll find the proof. She storms out.

Jill escorts Patricia to bed. There was a man in the doorway!I'm off work!
Patricia and Jim arrive back at Toorak. Jill says she had a look around when they left and there's no sign
of anyone. Jim tells Patricia she should go to bed. Patricia tells them there WAS a note, and she hasn't
gone off her head. She adds that someone was in there before and they'll get in again. Jim tells her to
get some sleep, and that he'll walk past her bedroom every five minutes. Jill takes Patricia up the stairs.
A while later, Jim and Jill are having a drink and talking in the living room when someone comes through
the front door and makes their way upstairs. Later still, the pair are eating in the dining room when they
hear a scream from upstairs. They rush out into the hall and see a terrified-looking Patricia standing on
the stairs. She sobs that there was a man standing in her doorway. Jim tells her they checked the whole
house, and the sleeping pills are playing tricks on her.
Patricia screams that there is someone with a key
letting themselves in and out of the house and why won't they believe her? She rushes into the dining
room, followed by Jill and Jim.
The next morning, Patricia is with a doctor. He tells her there's nothing wrong with her in the physical
sense. Patricia asks him what he's trying to suggest. The doctor says that Patricia's doctor told her to set
up regular meetings with a psychiatrist. Patricia tells him she isn't mentally disturbed, and offers to show
him the way out. The doctor tells her to take his advice if she doesn't want to find herself back in the
sanatorium. Patricia says goodbye, and he leaves. Patricia marches into the dining room and tells Jim and
Jill that she's going to get all the locks changed. Jim says he's arranged time off work so he can stay for
the day. Patricia tells them she's going to have a shower and get changed.

Will you stay tonight?Errrrr....What's wrong?Shirley isn't happy.
A while later, Jim and Jill are in the living room when Patricia comes in. Jill says that Jim suggested they
go on a picnic. Patricia says it's not a good idea - the locksmith won't be there until ten thirty and will
probably stay most of the day, plus Lucy is coming over. Jim suggests cancelling Lucy's visit, but Patricia
says the girl will help her take her mind off things.
Later, Patricia, Jim and Lucy are playing ball in the garden while the locksmith works on the house and
Jill sits knitting. Jim joins Jill, and the locksmith tells them he only has the back door left to do. Patricia
kicks the ball too far and Lucy goes to retrieve it. After she has, a figure appears from behind a bush,
puts a key in the back door and lets himself in.
Later, they are all having lunch in the dining room. Lucy asks if she can go outside and have another kick
of the ball. Patricia tells her not to overdo it - they don't want her sick for the rest of the afternoon. Lucy
leaves the room. Jim tells Patricia she's a lot more relaxed. Patricia says that having the locks changed has
made all the difference. Jill goes out to feed Fee, and Patricia asks Jim to stay the night - she'd feel
better if he was there. Before Jim answers they hear Jill cry out "Oh no!", and rush into the living room.
Fee's cot is empty, and Jill is beside herself. Jim tells them to calm down and rushes off. Outside the
house, Lucy is sitting holding Fee. Jim, Jill and Patricia rush out, and Jim takes Fee from Lucy. Lucy asks
what's wrong - she was only telling Fee she liked her. Patricia tells Lucy she's a silly little girl, and scared
them half to death. She slaps Lucy across the face, and the girl runs off. Jim follows her, and Jill tells
Patricia she's sure Lucy didn't mean any harm.

Patricia gets nasty.Jim hears the truth. Is anyone there?Fear!
Later, Jill lets Jim and Shirley Ryan into the house. Jim asks how Patricia is and Jill says upset. Jim
tells Shirley he wants to have a word with Patricia first and goes into the living room. He tells Patricia
that Mrs. Ryan has come back to have a word with her. Patricia says she doesn't feel like it at the moment.
Jim tells her she's going to have to see her sooner or later. Patricia says all right and Jim shows Shirley in.
She tells Patricia she's very concerned about what happened. Patricia says that Lucy deserved to be
reprimanded. Shirley agrees, but says slapping her face was a bit strong. She adds that Lucy is very upset,
and she'll have to call off any further visits. Patricia nastily tells her, in that case, it's pointless her
donating any money to the home. Shirley says it's probably her fault anyway - she was warned there might
be problems in allowing Lucy to visit. Patricia reminds her that she had dinner with Beryl Palmer the other
day. Shirley tells her it's what happened that afternoon that made up her mind, nothing else. Jim shows
Shirley out. Shortly afterwards, Patricia tells Jim that if he doesn't like the way she behaves, he can
get out. Jim tells her not to say another word - he's never taken so much from anybody in his life. He
warns her he'll walk out the door unless she starts behaving more like a human being. Patricia starts to
talk but he tells her to shut up. He says that Beryl was right to talk to Mrs. Ryan. Patricia tells him he's so
weak it's pathetic, and she should have left him with boring Beryl. She adds that she should have never
bothered taking him away from her. Jim looks stunned, and Patricia continues that it was so easy because
he's so gullible. She adds that it was so satisfying seeing Beryl squirm because she had no hope of getting
him back. Jim tells Patricia she's a very sad woman. He says it's no wonder she hasn't got any friends,
and she's just lost another one. He walks out. In the hall he tells Jill she should get out of there as soon as
she can - enough's enough. Jim leaves. Jill looks at Patricia standing in the doorway. Patricia asks her what
she's looking at, and shuts the door in her face.
Later, Patricia is sitting in the living room having a drink. She picks up her bag and coat and makes for the
front door. Jill comes down the stairs and asks where she's going. Patricia says it's none of her business.
Jill asks her not to go to Beryl's in that mood. Patricia tells her if she doesn't like it she can get out - she
doesn't need her any more than she needed Jim. She leaves. Jill goes to the phone and picks it up, but the
line is dead. Then she hears a door closing upstairs and asks if there's anyone there. She puts the phone
down and makes her way to the bottom of the stairs where she repeats the question. There is no answer.....
