Barbara explains.
Patricia's intrigued. There's someone else? She's booked for the night.
At Dural, Barbara answers the door and isn't too happy to see Patricia standing there. She asks her what
she wants and Patricia tells her she got Gordon's message about the state of the company. She adds that
she's come back to make sure he and his idiot son don't put her in the poor house. Patricia walks into the
living room, followed by Barbara. She tells Patricia she can't see Gordon - he's had a very hard day and
she's not going to disturb him. Patricia starts to protest but Barbara tells her she's told her all she needs
to know - Gordon is trying to save the company and he wants to sign an agreement for this 'Fox' woman.
She adds that he'll give her the details tomorrow. Patricia asks if there's a reason why she doesn't like
Karen. Barbara says she doesn't trust her - probably because she reminds her of HER. She says that
she's worried that Gordon's condition has affected his judgement, and that Wayne and Karen are as
thick as thieves. Barbara explains that Karen wants complete control of the company for the first three
months, and that if Patricia wanted to stop it, she could. Patricia jokes that she must be really worried
if she's looking to her as an ally. Barbara goes to get her a copy of Karen's proposal so she can judge
for herself.
At the Fisher house, Amanda is waiting in the living room when Mrs. Atkins, the housekeeper, comes in
and gives her a bag. Todd comes in and asks her what she's doing there. Amanda says she's borrowing
his wet suit. Todd says he bought her one of her own. Amanda explains that a friend of hers, Barry,
invited her to a fancy dress party. Todd jokingly pretends to be shocked that there's someone else
and tells her he hoped they would be going out that night. Amanda tells him he didn't ring, and asks if
he's seriously upset. Todd tells her of course not - can't she tell when someone's kidding her? Amanda
tells him to come around tomorrow morning and leaves.

Barbara is wary.I'm not playing games!A boatyard tour.Todd in a reflective mood.
Back at Dural, Patricia puts the papers in her case and tells Barbara she'll take them down to her
accountant in Melbourne to have a look and won't see Gordon until she's made a decision. She tells Barbara
that, if she cashes in everything she's got, she might be able to pull the company out of it herself. Barbara
is suspicious and asks if it's another one of her revenge ploys. Patricia tells her she doesn't plan on going
down the drain for the satisfaction of seeing her and Gordon go with her. She says she's not playing games
- she doesn't like the sound of Karen Fox and doesn't see why they should pull in another partner if they
can avoid it. Patricia says she should leave, and asks Barbara for Beryl's copy of the proposal so she can
drop it in to her. Barbara tells her she wouldn't have thought she'd go out of her way to see Beryl. Patricia
says that the company directors have got to talk to each other, personal feelings not withstanding. Barbara
tells her that's a change of attitude - Matt Kennedy must have had quite an effect. Patricia coldly says he
did. She takes the papers from Barbara and says she'll be in touch.
The next morning, Amanda, Todd and Irene walk along the beach to a boatyard. Amanda says she can't
go sailing - she's got a hair appointment. Irene tells her they're not going anywhere! Amanda is introduced
to Harry, who tells them to take a look around to get a general idea of the set up. He tells Todd that
Irene has said he's done a few boat designs himself, and asks to look at them. Todd hands him a large
folder. Harry tells the others to go on ahead - he'll catch them up in a few minutes. Amanda asks what's
so important about a load of half-finished boats to drag her out of bed at the crack of dawn? Todd
tells her they're not boats - they're yachts. Irene says it would be great if he designed another Americas
Cup winner. Todd says he guesses it would be one way to keep part of yourself alive. Amanda says she
needs to get to the hairdressers. Irene says she wants to take a photo of them first. The pair go to get
Harry, and Todd stares out to sea.

It didn't work out.Todd has a funny turn.I'm not in!Jill fobs Matt off.
At Toorak, David and Jill are having breakfast when Patricia walks in and says good morning. David says
he has to go to Beryl's to take her and the kids to the airport. Patricia says she hopes it works out for Kevin
and Lynn in London. David says she'll probably want to go back there too. Patricia tells them she's there to
stay - it didn't work out with Matt. David says he's sorry to hear it. Patricia says it's okay - they parted as
good friends.
Amanda, Todd and Irene march into Irene's flat. Irene asks Todd how it feels to be back in the work force.
Todd says he'll let her know tomorrow after he starts. Amanda says she can't believe he's going to be a boat
builder's labourer. Todd says AND an apprentice designer - that's the important bit. He adds that he can't
wait to get started. Suddenly Todd becomes faint and leans against the wall, clutching his stomach. Amanda
asks him if he's all right, and he says he's been feeling off all morning. Todd takes a bottle of pills from his
jacket. Then he doubles up in pain and drops the pills. Amanda helps him onto the couch and Irene gives him
a pill. She asks him how long he's been taking them. Todd tells her not to make a big production out of it - he
needs to go home and lie down. Irene says he can lie down there. Todd takes the pill bottle and says he has
to go - he's expecting a phone call. Amanda tells Irene this has happened to him before and she thinks it's
more than a virus. Irene insists that she'll drive Todd home, and the pair leave.
At Toorak, the phone rings and Jill answers it. Matt is on the other end and Jill tells Patricia. Patricia tells
Jill to say she's not home. Jill says sorry to Matt - she thought Patricia was there but she's not. She hangs
up and tells Patricia she said they were still friends. Patricia tells her she know what she said, but it's
no one else's business. She goes upstairs and Jill looks perplexed.
